Over ten thousand years ago a wicked hybrid race of angels and humans known as the Nephilim, wrought great evils on the world. The powers sent a flood to cover the earth and rid it of these wicked monsters. One family managed to survive the cataclysm and restart humanity once again, hoping to avoid the same mistakes of their past. Five hundred and twenty-five years after the great cataclysm, people have spread out and several city-states are developing around the region, as the long sundered families reconnect, there are some who suspect the Nephilim survived.

Tiras, grandson of the Allfather, leads his people in a new kingdom on a small group of islands far to the west from where they first made landfall. Faced with growing reports of attacks from an unknown enemy, Tiras must choose to ignore the threat or face it head on. As he fights to keep his family and kingdom united, he conceals a secret that may doom them both, from without and from within.
