Faith MacGregor enlisted in the Army in 2002 in the Infantry. Later she commissioned into the Armor branch to command a platoon of Tanks. After a two year deployment to Iraq she went back to school and got a second Bachelors degree in Ancient History. As she got older and her interests widened and she began to shift careers to into military intelligence after being promoted to Captain. She continued to serve as an intelligence officer and specialized in Human Intelligence and Counter Intelligence. During that time she also completed her masters degree in Intelligence Studies graduating on the deans list.
After a second deployment to Kuwait and Iraq Faith continued to increase her knowledge of human behavior working in the civilian intelligence world. As she likes to say she “just chased the bad guys where they went”. So she began studying cyber security to diversify her knowledge. She completed a second Masters degree in Cyber Security with a 4.0 GPA.
She currently works in Cyber Security and Intelligence for the private sector. In recent years she has shifted focus to her passion for hobbies and people. After coming out, Faith felt like there needed to be more resources out there for gender and sexually diverse people in the world. She started volunteering at her employment resource group and getting involved in the LGBT+ community. She began speaking and educating local events and decided to start a blog to help out other LGBT+ people and veterans.
Faith is also a legendary nerd. She started writing fiction stories and fantasy in middle school and has spent the past few years writing an epic historical fiction-fantasy novel series. Her dream is to have a battle of wits with Stephen Colbert about Lord of the Rings!
